I have a Zenith R56W36 Projection TV and the auto-convergence button on my remote was accidentally pushed. Ever since, I have what is called "ghost shadows" in the colors of red, blue, yellow. My manual was no help and everytime I talk to Zenith they offer the same suggestions that are explained in my manual. Please someone tell me what to do. :cry

oh thats not good. fine tuning some of those projectors can be a total bitch.

u have 2 options~

1. start playing around with it until u get it but it make take a while.

2. call a HT pro and they will come out and fine tune it for you, but it probably wont be cheap.

if it were me i would start trying to tune it myself it would be tedious but doable and cheaper~

if your tv wasnt ghosting before the button was pressed then u know its just the settings and that u can fix it.

see if u can find something along the lines of 'return to default settings'

Projection TV bulbs are very sensitive and it's potentially much riskier to try to service this yourself (aside from using the remote to align them mechalically, which doesn't sound like it's working for you). If you get a professional to realign the bulbs, which I would recommend, you should be looking at like $75 tops for it. Sucks, yeah, but it's not a bankbreaker.
