Griff Project

Im thinking of doing a griff project. You know like some concept art for ssx4 sotra. First im gonna draw griff in ssx3. then im gonna do some sketches of what he might look like. In order to the get feel for him i just did a trace in like 10 minutes. Again this is a trace, i didnt actually do anything, well except color it in, but that took no effort. so dont go praising me just yet. I wanted to just go through him once before i sketch it out. so heres my trace:

any ideas for griffs look in ssx4?

Ima do some pencil sketches, then scan 'em in and do em up all nice with my computer.

except its not a sketch, its a trace. i havnt actually done the sketch yet i just wanted to get the feel for griff. dont know what i mean? whatever. Now that its christmas break if im not playing ssx3, seeing a movie, or doing something ill probably just draw. So i can whip up some sketches of the "future" griff.

I'd imagine he would have his hair longer, maybe just above his shoulders. Either than or a buzz cut.

He will proably also wear clothes that are just overly cool. He'll be at that age and all, and with a huge ego. :heh

Just my first few thoughts.

yeah im not sure what to do with the hair. And ill just make him mid-teenage years cause i dont know when the next ssx takes place. Is it in two years? one year? (im sure the setting is not associated with the release date, so the game could come out in a year and a half but take place, say 3 years later).

Eh, I don't think so. They should make his personality really change for the next SSX so he is more unique to avoid that. He might have a rough puberty or something. :heh

Well since he was a sugar freak in SSX 3, and is now considered a pro athlete. So naturally he'll upgrade to the next logacal step... Coke (the drug, not the soda.)

Haha. Remember, they gotta keep this game E-rated. Though I would love to see Griff freak out with bloodshot eyes at the starting line.

Well, if you were Griff, wouldn't you want to mimmic the ever-cool Mac? In SSX 4, Griff will be 15, the same age Mac was in the first SSX.

Personally, I don't want Griff to be even considered for SSX 4. He's just a big whiner who's awfully annoying. I think that from the small group of people who actually like Griff, most of those people just used him for races because of his height and adapted to his annoying personality. Plus, SSX will suck if Griff becomes the new Mac. For the first part, why would he be the new Mac? Mac's only 18 and he has a bunch of years ahead of him for boarding. He just won't be a teen anymore. Griff and Mac are total opposites. Many people like Mac the way he is, so those people will be sorely disppointed if a complete opposite takes the role of Mac.

If Griff has to return in SSX 4 (which I hope he doesn't), then EA should probably work on his sugar-high bit and overally, be improved in his personality. Appartantly, that's one major flaw of SSX 3, there's nothing there in which you can understand the new characters' personalities.

well, i was thinking of all the different characters and their choice of music, or the music that seems to fit in with their style of clothing.....
So, maybe if griff is in the next game, he will represent a different genre of music than is in the ssx3 soundtrack.....like polka maybe? j/k :heh

No, but seriously, I could see griff as a rail thin, tall teenager with long, shoulder length hair. That would be something different, and EA seems keen on doing that.
