Speaking of fonts, that's a nice new look for the Gravitude Bar logo (don't know which moderator changed it but it still looks terrific :D ). :china

Wow, I hadn't even noticed those. But then, I guess there are a whole bunch of little things that go into MC and the forums that we don't really notice, but help make it great nonetheless, huh?

Ask Krystony how the forums looked before I skinned them out .... *shudder* the default skin is really, really, really white, lol.

As for the logo, it was all grandmort's doing. I have nothing but good things to say about since I just whipped up the forum headers in about an hour to fil up space - grandmort was the one who did the real work on them and that's what you see. You should also expect a second skin for the board from him here sometime in the near future. :)

Sweet! Another skin? That'll be cool. Spice it up a little. :yes

And of course, kudos Grandmort for the hot logo! It looks awesome!

Hey everybody...I don't make it down here much so I feel like I should say hi :heh Anyway, I wanted to say kudos on the whole "non-white" skin thing :yes ONLY GAMERS AND DOS FANS WOULD DO THAT :thumbsup Soooooo easy on the eyes !!!

Also, A friend of mine (graphic arts student) is going to start doing his practice work based on the SSX pics I give him. Anything cool he does i'll send your way and any pictures you could recommend as starting points would be awesome. Thanx.

Cool! So your buddy is doing somw work on SSX? That'll be awesome! But... what exactly is he/she doing?

Tue Nov 04, 2003 9:33 pm

Not entirely sure :??? I would say playing around on the computer but i'm sure he has a much more professional term for it than that :heh

From what he's told me he wants to take black and whites and use a weird shading technique to make them look 3Dish :eek I know he's got a couple more projects in mind but I was playing on line :notmyfather and not paying attention :poke I guess we'll have to just wait and see. From his prior work that i've seen EVERYTHING should be PIMP :pimp

I'm wondering, does these fonts work with Wordperfect? Cause I've tried putting it in like the read me says (putting it in the windows/font folder) But too no success. What gives?

Sat Nov 22, 2003 12:58 pm

Hmmm... what Windows do you have Crusty?

Sat Nov 22, 2003 8:00 pm

XP home edition. Would that be the problem?

Sun Nov 23, 2003 3:13 am

I use XP Home, and I just unzipped it and moved the TTF file into my Windows/Fonts/ directory. Works just fine for me.

Sun Nov 23, 2003 10:13 am

I have XP too Crusty. It took me a while to figure out how to get fonts in myself cause it's a little different...

Open the zip file and copy the actual font (the .ttf file) into My Documents. Then go into the Control Panel and on the top left side, click where it says "switch to classic view". Then you'll see all these folders. Go into the "Fonts" folder and go: File>Install New Font. Then all you have to do is find your font in all those little folders the box shows you by going: c:/>Documents and Settings>Owner>My Documents. The font should be there from when you copied it, and then you can just click it, hit OK and you're done!

Does that get the job done Crusty?

Tue Nov 25, 2003 1:48 am

Okay, just got it in. Turns out putting the file into the folder directly from the zip file is a bad thing.

Possibly because you bumped a topic that's 8 years old. PM Gondee, he may have it.
