Submissions from BOTH PAL (Europe) & NTSC (Japan, North America) PS2 Systems are being accepted at the moment. For each one of the SSX Record list and until better solutions are found to differentiate them, all submitted High Scores & Fast Times for the two Systems will be listed together.
Read what TwinGalaxies posted about the PAL vs. NTSC issue back in the Summer of 2001:
"PAL Systems run at a refresh rate that is 20% slower than the NTSC Systems here in the U.S. (and most other countries). Reference http://www.tenlab.com/worldtv.htm for a more elaborate explanation. As a result, playing SSX on a PAL T.V. System results in a "built-in slow motion effect," allowing a Player more time to act and react to what happens on the screen, which is more more conducive to higher Showoff Scores...On the other hand, their Race Mode Times will be 20% slower also... The staff at TwinGalaxies.com maintains two separate sets of World Records for each T.V. System specifically because of this issue."
