for once, FOR ONCE, sony did not disappoint. there have been epic fail years and this was definitely not one of them.

I'd say Microsoft lost it rather than Sony winning. Of course, Sony did win by choosing the policies they did, but Microsoft made it so easy on them. It's very hard to look at the Xbox One as a potential primary console compared to the PS3. Way too many drawbacks, price including. I love me some Forza and Halo. It's hard to let go of some franchises, specially when I really, really do think Forza is so far ahead of GT and it does not replace Forza (while the contrary was true when I went from PS2 to Xbox 360). But really, PS4 has everything going for it. I'm fine with a multiplayer subscription I guess. That's way better than paying for Live and have all the drawbacks we all know about.

I love my PC. I upgraded my graphics card in December and I'm set for another 2 or 3 years. I'll experience all the graphics without spending another dollar/euro, while I already have everything the new consoles have in terms of sharing. I already record and share videos, I already can be on Skype while playing, etc, etc. In 3 or so years, I can comfortably purchase a new console (most likely the PS4) for around 250/300€.

Great conferences from both though. It felt so good to not hear any crap talk, it was only games, games and games. They both had me very interested all the way. It's great when they show off so many games and new IPs in such a short time.

Well except the X RPG and the Zelda HD remake, i am not that thrilled :/ Donkey Kong sequel looks fun but well... Everyone was expecting a brand new Zelda title..

It was just stated on Kotaku that while Sony itself (meaning their first party games) will not be limiting used games, third party publishers will have the option of doing so.

However, the console itself won't have built in limitations like the XBoner will.

Everyone needs to take a chilly out. all im hearing is people saying how xbox sucks and they are getting a PS4. its one press conference for crying out loud. Now it will skew the console war that has been going on for ages

This exactly what I was hoping for, but honestly, I'm a bit sad now. I took his words to mean a little more than they actually did. Such is the way of E3 hype, I guess. But man, my head is already throbbing from all of the people going, "So it's just like the Xbone now??????" Uh, no. It's just like the PS3.

X/Y and SSB3D both looked great; I'll pick both up for sure. Nothing really made me want a Wii U, though. I thought they'd have a 64/Sunshine/Galaxy at least, but they showed 3D World instead—which will undoubtedly be good; I love 3D Land, but I already have it. I feel like Pikmin 3 is really the only first party experience that I can't get on my 3DS so far. But hey, maybe that's a good thing. It certainly keeps my wallet fuller. Got hit by a huge nostalgia wave during the Wind Waker preview, though. Makes me want to replay it.

Second Son looks awesome. I'm having some trouble getting through the first game because, even though I love the gameplay, the grittiness is making me not want to start it up. Second Son looks tons more colorful (and gorgeous, check those graphics out!), so even if I don't finish 1 and 2, I'll give it a go.

Even after some "clarifications" today, I'm still all about the ps4 though that should be hardly surprising around here.

Nope, I'm pumped, too! The new characters are great so far. I love The Villager's random attacks and how he can "collect" other characters', and the Wii Fit Trainer's animations are hilarious.

Interesting that the overall concensus seems to be that the policies are why Sony 'won', because the policies had nothing to do with why I thought Sony blew MS away. I enjoyed the MS conference, but I would probably have been a lot more critical had Sony gone up first.

So many cool games in such a short time though im a bit overwhelmed!

As for Nintendos 'new' games, I love a bit of platforming fun, bit of Smash Bros and Mario Kart, but for some reason they didn't excite me so much like I thought they would. I guess cos its the same old. Yeah I know, you can drive up walls and upside down, but thats not enough to make me excited. I stillget fun out of Mario Kart Wii. My main gripe with the wii u is the controller. I really didn't like the controller when I played on it.

This for me was the biggest surprise announcement behind Killer Instinct. I kinda presumed Bayonetta was a fail. I own it on PS3 and I found it fun at first, but I fast grew tired of the repetitive music and the feeling that I was playing a really low quality game. After a few hours of progress I was done! I really like the gameplay style though so hopefully Bayonetta 2 will be better quality.

Definitely not this Bayonetta. Maybe Bayonetta 3. Platinum Games basically almost went bankrupt. Then Nintendo stepped in and funded Bayonetta 2 100%. I think hoping for Bayonetta 2 for the other consoles is like hoping for Halo 3 for PC.

Also. I have no clue why everybody except Kotaku ignored this game for Wii U. It looks mighty epic, like Xenoblade in HD.
