That was not necessarily a practice run! That track i'm on pace for a great run literally 1 out of every maybe 50 restarts. There are so many tough points in this race - most notably the big jump select i've been talking about (I still wasn't able to find consistancy), entering this very random wh, and even coming off that rail at 51 secs in the video correctly is very aggravating. But atleast you can see where 1:52 is there on a near perfect run once I put away the frustrations and try it again!

It looked like some sort of practice run since you did some strange moves for no apparent reason, like turning right at 33 seconds.

BTW, your latest videos have some ugly background noise. To avoid it you can turn off the audio when capturing, or strip the audio from the video before adding the music track.

Yeah, that particular area isn't perfect yet but i'm still working with the best possible route to take there. Actually seems like taking the rails is quicker than making a sharp left turn.

If by bad background noise, you mean distortion, I hear it too when I turned the track up. Idk, I only have the video playing through my Cap Card with no audio input. I'll try and see if I can fix it. Thanks

I have a challenge for you all: get sub-2:13 Intimidator clean.

In the program you use for capturing, disable audio capturing. I think that would fix, as I have the same setup as you (no audio cables, just yellow composite video), and when I forget to disable audio capture in VirtualDub it records some barely audible background noise.


I have no doubt that Ice could beat that time in a day.

CR2, i'm just curious what made you choose a sub-2:13 clean Intimidator when I believe the fastest time posted was 2:17? Have you achieved a faster time? Anyway, with my line I have a mid to late 2:12 as a perfect clean run.

I've hit 2:14 a while back (I hate the huge jump at the beginning). I think 2:10ish is possible now. I used 2 shortcuts that you didn't use... You lost a lot of time before the circular tunnel (which you probably know?). I'll try to film the 2 shortcuts and upload them tonight...
Btw, frame rate was good.

That jump before the circular tunnel just annoys me, it randomly shoots me to the left or right when I let off boost but sometimes it works perfect. I lost roughly a second there. Also, around 38 secs you can take all three rails consecutively which saves .5 to a sec but it's hard to catch the second rail. I'm sure one of the shortcuts you spoke of is within the final stretch. Really, i've always just hated this track.

Well, I can't film it...so:
at 0:15 you can jump the entire way over (you probably know this one, but it's a bitch)
at 1:25 you can skip the circular way by just going a little to the right and going straight down (try not to lose too much speed)
at 1:30 you can go over the place to the left (it can be faster if you do it perfectly)

Sweet run, Ice. Some observations:

-I don't remember it being that hard to land on the next rail at 38 sec in the video. Even if you don't hit the rail it should still be faster than turning right.
-Are you sure it's best not to jump at 43 sec? It looks like it would reduce air time. Same at 1:50.
-On the long rail at 50 sec, let go of the rail uber as you were losing boost and possibly some speed -- which might help with the rail pushing you to the left/right before the spiral tunnel.

CR2's shortcuts save more time than these possible tweaks, but are also much harder.

Btw, have you tried out that SJ shortcut yet?

I knew of all of these but they are kinda hard to pull off especially skipping the circular way. But i'll see if I can mess with it a little more... my run was definitely not perfect. I just thought the bar was previously at 2:17 so I can push it further

I haven't had much time to test out that SJ shortcut RE. I will as soon as I can... that Intimidator run was my attempt in 2 hours

I never tried a snow jam run with select tricks only but 2:07 is absolutely possible.

That was a near perfect clean SJ run! Great stuff Mad Jo3 What makes you think I didn't get the same score though I was trying out RE's shortcut and couldn't make it faster than the standard line. So I did a regular clean run and finished with a high 2:08. I'm assuming yours was a high 2:08 as well??? Anyway, I'm bored and when i'm getting time I'm gonna put out an all clean montage of some sort.

I plan on it... I gave my computer that has my cap card to my little brother once I moved into the new house so when I get it, hopefully next week I will start continue. Sucks that I can't record at the moment.

Two very nice runs there. I haven't tested that new glitch yet how did you start in that station?... that's crazy! I'm still waiting for this capture card to come in for my laptop so I can start recording. Hopefully have a good video coming out soon.
