. Forza 5 and Dead Rising 3 play really well on the XB One and to be honest I've yet to try the exclusives on PS4 because all I've been playing on it was NFS: Rivals :lol

From what I've seen, both consoles are being received positively. Every outlet seems to recognize that the PS4 is the better machine for strictly gaming, but there's been a lot of praise for the multimedia features of the XB1. My dad walked in on me playing whatever the other day and started raving about all of the cool things you can do and how everyone's saying it "works perfectly." I think that a lot of general outlets are more impressed with the XB1 since they're not looking for strictly a gaming console. They seem to think it's more of a family-media-box-thing, which I guess is what MS was going after. I've seen some praise for the PS4's social stuff too. They also mention the $100 price point, of course, but I haven't seen anyone make it a big deal.

Overall though, no one seems to think that you need either right now. The NYT actually had a piece that said the Wii U has the only game worth playing out of the three (SM3DW). :heh

But hey, they're kinda right. I watched GT stream it the other night and it was great.

Mario Kart
Zelda
Star Fox
Donkey Kong Country
A single player 3D mario (like 64, sunshine, or galaxy)

PS4:
Sly Cooper
Ratchet & Clank
Jak & Daxter
Little Big Planet

XB1:
Halo
Banjo Threeie

Until I see any of those I'm not even close to giving a shit about this gen.

Loving the PS4, few hiccups due to online demand day 1, 2 and 3 but all seems to be settling in now.
Killzone looks and plays great but Im stuck in NFS Rivals, its just a great race and smash-em up

cant stop playing it

The only thing im missing is the PS3 back catalogue I built up but, its not hard to setup the PS3 for a few blasts when needed.
