has anyone ever dreamt of SSX? or has SSX made an appearance in anyone's dreams? surely we all think and talk about this game enough to warrant some dream real estate.
last night i had this dream that i went to the Sasquatch music festival with my friends. instead of there being grass and shitty promo booths dispersed between the stages, it was like a huge arcade! there were old school games, new games, riding games, shooting games, the skateboarding game, EVERYTHING. it was so cool. i specifically recall thinking 'i wonder if they have an SSX arcade game here...' and like literally as i thought that, i turned my head to find this hexagonal shaped cage with a line of people coming out of it and on the side of the cage it read 'SSX' in big blue neon lights. i saw six screens with people playing the NEW game, so i rushed over to check it out. i only saw a glimpse of what was going on in the screens but in the top left corner it said 'New York City.' i quickly accepted the fact that it was a track that was in NYC, to which i was confused. i was more worried about getting in line and being able to play. then i thought 'holy shit what if Todd Batty is here or someone i know from going to EA?!?!' i got super stoked.
then it ended.

I had a dream I was playing a demo for the game. I was playing as Elise, my main character, and I was riding on re-made tracks from the previous games, which was the only thing I could imagine, considering how little we know about the new game's tracks. It was awesome!
I also had a different dream, also involving playing a demo as Elise.
And I had a nighmare that Eddie was revealed, and that he looked horrible. He had a giant head and a tiny afro, which is really weird. He also looked like a cartoon character, whereas the others look realistic.
And I also had a nightmare that Nate was revealed as the last character, instead of someone like Allegra or Eddie, whom the fans really want.
I dream to much about SSX... OBSESSED!

That's really weird; I had an SSX dream last night and I was wondering if anyone else did, too! rofl
I've had a few of these dreams since I was five. Last night I dreamed that I was hanging out with the characters, and it was sort of like PE basketball meets Lego Island or whatever I don't even know. It's one of those dreams that makes no sense whatsoever. Elise was mad at me at one point but then she got over it, Psymon was freaking out Kaori as usual, and Mac and Kaori finally got together lmao. It was pretty sweet. I woke up and I was like, "Daaang, can I have dreams like that all of the time?"

Before SSX On Tour was revealed, I had lots of dreams about SSX4. I especially recall one where I was riding down a classy track by night, called "Night Jam" and then entering an interactive lodge where I was able to interact with other people and accept offers, missions, challenges and so on. It was so cool! After exiting the lodge I could see a contour of a bright city in the distant horizon. I remember the possibilities were endless in this game, and I could actually ride down on a frozen sea all the way to that bright city! Unfortunately I woke up shortly after...

I felt like making this similar thread a few weeks ago after having an SSX dream, but I figured I was the only one. 
Anyways mine started off by me turning on my PS3 and connecting online, then I received a pop up message from EA to log in to merqurycity to play in the online beta/demo of SSX 2012. So I do that immediately and then all of a sudden I'm playing in a 4 player online match with Gondee, Vix, and one other member from here whom I can no longer remember. Gondee was kicking everybody's butt and I remember chatting "no fair you already know how to play" with everyone else.
However, after the second match had ended (I was in 3rd) I had suddenly woke up. 
I remember that the controls seemed very foreign to me, and I felt frustrated because freestyle mode seemed harder than it did in SSX Blur.

That is just epic.
I've never dreamed of SSX. Snowboarding, sure, but not SSX. At least not that I can remember. I do remember a dream that I was the first person to pull a Footloose IRL, but that's the closest i've had.

Feeling kind bad for reviving this abit, but I had one tonight.
It all started with EA accidentaly releasing the Demo to early, which made the game somewhat buggy. Nevertheless I got Mac and started a freeride run, first part where pretty ordinary down the hill. I remember the camera where way too far back so the character where just a little shape spinning and doing stuff.
After some time I came to an uphill, but for some reason I had enough boost to get up (it was a fairly lage hill). When I got to the top it was all flat ( a plateau of some sorts). Continuing boosting and finally made it to the end, jumped of a cliff and landed, suddenly Elise was my rider. Boosting away in flat terrain. (this part where actually pretty boring, but the best part is up ahead).
After some time just riding flat terrain, suddenly it was Ty who were riding, but he had the worst voiceover ever. I can't explain how annoying it was.
At this point the track had turned dark, the snow had this blue tone and the sky where black and green. (Think of it as weak [url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aurora_(astronomy)polarlight[/url]).
Continued riding on, and came to a crevice with a big river at the bottom, with iceplattforms in it. For some reason the only sensible thing to do would be to ride down into the crevice and get downwards by riding on the iceplattforms (for some reason I knew that the correct way to get across would be high speed and precision-jumping, I also remember asking myself in the dream if this even was possible in the SSX-universe). Unfortunately, as I found a way down into the crevice and was about to ride onto the river I woke up.
A long rant, but I came to think of how cool it would be if we actually had that scenario in game, where you would have to precisely navigate across plattforms by jumping and boosting on a wild river.

I had a dream I was stuck in an endless loop in Tokyo Megaplex.
I also had another cooler dream. So... I live in sunny San Diego close to the ocean. I dreamed that a giant iceberg broke off and traveled all the way here. Then a few folks decided to turn the iceberg into a snowboard resort and hold events like the one in Aloha Ice Jam. I took the next ferry to the iceberg. A lot of people were there.
Man, image something like that in reality *drool*.

i had a dream last night that i was playing the new SSX and i was like 'i'm soooo glad they finally decided to put Allegra in the game.'

Do you think it's time for a new SSX from EA?
I was a huge fan of SSX 3 and SSX On Tour. I never played SSX, I played SSX Tricky (but didn't own it).
Lately there are just a lack of snowboarding games that can compete with last gen:
- Amped 3 is probably the closest, but it's not as wild or fast as SSX series got
- Shaun White's Snowboarding was a realistic take on snowboarding and wasn't well received
- Stoked was also realistic (like skate) and did okay, but not many people played it

You are so right.... I mean really where is the love for SSX. If only EA got wise and decided to revive the series....wait... hold on.... whats that... The reboot was announced almost a year ago... WOW where the hell have I been

oh oh! I had one recently! 
I was dreaming that I was in a hot tub with Nate on my left and for some odd reason DD griff on my right. Nate was nagging me on getting him a soda while Griff just stares at me weirdly and kissed me.
Now I don't know what was that about, i don't even like griff >< I wanted a cool snowboarding dream...

I had one last night. In in the game had just come out and I just put it in the PS3. Skipped past all the dev and tech engine screens and what I get as a main menu looked like scrambled porn, I guess because the motif of the game is that they're all filming each other and this was a wrecked tape. Well the scrambled menu could be interacted with to a degree and I saw something that looked legible so I hit X. Everything cleared up and it came up with a screen that said "playlists". But it wasn't for music.
In this you could set up a list of drop points to do in succession without going back to the main menu screen. At the bottom of a run you get in the heli and it just takes you to to the top of the next drop. I set up a playlist of drops and chose Mac for some reason. At the first drop the game went into first person mode and I climbed out the back of the helicopter and there was a ladder that went to the top of it. There was a flat empty space on top where I made Mac stand where he wouldn't get killed from the blades.
I looked down onto the drop and the copter was flying over and I was looking for a good place to jump off. I found one and started the run. When I jumped the camera went back to normal. The controls were really very bad. It was set on the modern control scheme and I kept botching everything I tried to do because I couldn't adjust. I called someone at EA Canada and told them that the modern controls were terrible and that they should patch the classic controls as default. Then I woke up.

Haha, back years ago I played Garibaldi a crap ton on SSX Tricky, and to a point where I would dream that I was still playing that stage, I knew it like the back of my hand at that point, and I still do. But, I'm sure many of you do, too. Anyways that's what I've ever dreamt about SSX. haha. Always a sign of ridiculous amounts of SSX gaming. xD
