The pm notification system seems to perform misserably. Some people get notified days later!! :frusty

nono, ett, I found out that was my own fault. I use AvantBrowser and even tho the PM notifications are coming from MC, the popup blocker was still preventing them from ever showing up. I think the PM system itself is working alright tho :wink

I hate to say this but maybe have a report system? I've noticed a few people (I'm not mentioning names cause I'm either too nice or cause you all know who they are) have been spamming and/or making short spammy posts. I don't know about the rest of you but I get somewhat disturbed whenever I see a post like that and it would be awesome if mod.s would just delete them or something. I dunno...

You guys, i can do wonders with flash. I'm a fuckin' flash wizard.

I can do some flash shit for this site to make it really nifty, but having Flash Sigs would just plain kick ass.

I noticed there's almost 100 members who signed up before December and still haven't posted once (92 actually). Maybe we could have an inactive member flush - send emails to all those inactive members and deleting any that don't respond? No real reason, just to tidy up the member list. I'd prefer a board of 300 active members than one with 25% of its members completely inactive.

Is that possible? Cause certain people... (coff coff Solid Filip) have no idea how to spell and it's hard to understand them.
(I realize that your european Solid Fil but i think you could use one...)

I can check into that, it's possible. I would say less than 25% of our members post "actively" meaning once every 2 or 3 days at a minimum. Most signed up when they first had the game and then promptly forgot I think. I'm not terribly worried about who posts the most or who is most active. You can always run searches based on number of posts if you want to see who is the most active.

As far as a spell checker for the site, well, this is open source software, which means it's good, but may not have a spellchecker. I believe I saw a spell checker mod that used an outside website to provide it - meaning it would be unreliable and we could have no warning if it went down. I'll check into it though.

Yes, and apart from that a spell-checker would have to be pretty good to not be ultra-annoying, marking many correct words as mistakes.

I think there should be a thing where we can mark things for moderation

Gondee, I have a few suggestions.

1) We should be able to load pictures for our avator and sig from our computer. That way, I don't have to use 250free or anything else.

2) For our private messages, I want the little box that says "You have a private message" to pop up, but I don't want to get sent an e-mail that says I got a private message here. Whenever I use PM alot, it clutters my e-mail.

Hope these go into the next Gravitude Improvment Thread. :cheers
