i beat the race on my first try, the slopestyle on my second try, and the shred on my second try (i restarted halfway through, i was falling a lot.) i really expected much more of a challenge from these, considering how tough some of the regular shreds are.

oh well.

and that ending movie was really fucking wierd.

now all i need to do is get 100%. at least that will be more of a challenge.

I beat all 3 on my first try. And the Legendary shred by over a kilometer.

It's not a bad thing that the legend-events are easy to beat. It would be a bad thing if they wouldn't put in the challenge to get platinum on the race and the slopestyle. But they have, so that's ok then.

Beat 'em all on first try. The pro-master shreds are much harder.

I have a really hard time with pro-master stuff. I'm ranked #1, and only 57% done.

i agree, the pro-master stuff is way harder. the rubber band AI on the races is killer. ill be 300 meters ahead the whole race, then all of a sudden, with thirty seconds left in the race, BAM!!! four people are ahead of me. it's killer on some of the longer tracks.

I never had rubberband AI, but I noticed that you have to choose the right course, if there are decisions, like between B&E and Roadkill, you should always choose Roadkill. When I chose B&E, it would have the effect of rubberband AI, but really just was the result of Roadkill being much faster downhill at some sections.

I agree on the first post.
I didn't have to even restart them to fix some fucked up's.
Beat all of them with first try =o
you get some mighty cash for them

not wierd at all. SSX3 was the same way, if you remember. You needed to beat 25 mins for the plat time on the all peak race, which after a few runs was np at all. I specifically remember hitting 20 mins and change on my third try.

And do you remember the requirements for the all peak slopestyle? It was 1 million. thats it. Platinum was like 2.2 million if memory serves.

Since SSX3, the end game events have been siginifcantly easier than they events immediately leading up to them (for SSX3 this was the peak 3 events).

Its just par for the course, and actually not a bad idea. Say they set the bar really high for those events, as long as they are, could you imagine all the frustration that would be involved? Its better to tone down the difficulty for those really long events, at least IMO, which is what they did in the past two SSX games. :)

i dunno, since i started this thread, i've hit 100% and i up to 40 platinum medals. even the pro-master events are now easy as hell, guess i just wish the game had a hard mode or something, something to challenge me.

btw, in ssx3 i never got 100%, i sucked at the slopestyles. also the platinum medals in races seemed harder to get, i sztill haven't gotten em all. maybe i should go back and play that gain, probably be alot more satisfying than playing OT anymore.

wow wishful, my play experience is the exact opposite. I crushed SSX3, got 100% with all ten characters, found every last snowflake, got every platinum medal with every character, etc, etc. I loved and still do love that game.

SSX4 on the other hand has some incredably tough events that I just don't have the patience for anymore.....

Different strokes for different folks i suppose.

I always felt the full-mountain events were more just for fun as a reward rather than the biggest challenge. I had a blast just rolling down the mountain through all the events I'd gotten good at one after another and just scoring massive amounts of points.

On the screen where you're choosing your profile it'll tell you.

Do you have to finish all the pro-master shreds to gain access to the legend shreds?

I've done all but 3 P-M shreds, but I can't do the legend ones yet. Except for the "legendary shred" at the peak (which I finished).

Thanks,
Jeff S.

I must really suck then. :heh

I beat the legendary race on my second try, but only managed to place 3rd on the legendary slopestyle so far (yep, I truly suck at slopestyle). I can only do the legendary shred in quickplay (is that the one where you race 4 players from the peak?), I guess because I haven't unlocked it in Tour mode yet.

According to my stat screen I have 2 medals left to go and 14 shreds. I haven't beat the stupid Tyson 400,000 + trickoff or the rail this at B&E. I'm guessing that after I beat the legendary slopestyle, the rest of the events will be unlocked??? :shrug
